Vacuum Forming Molds; the process includes heating cut-to-size sheets in ovens which use gas heaters with zone controls to ensure an accurate environment and sheet temperature. After heating, the sheet is then placed into a mold and a vacuum is used to manipulate the sheet and conform it to the shape of the mold. Vacuum molds are popular for both large and small parts and offer a very low tooling cost and increased cycle time. SaberMD offers both thin gauge vacuum molds and heavy gauge vacuum molds.
